Who Needs a Visa for Mexico?
Mexico has numerous exemptions for citizens of countries wishing to visit Mexico for a period of up to 180 days as tourists or business. Individuals with permanent residence in Canada, the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, any of the countries that make up the Schengen Area, or the member countries of the Pacific Alliance do not need a visa to enter Mexico. Here is a list of all countries with visa exemptions.
To enter Mexican territory without a visa, the above travelers must present:
A valid passport. Mexican authorities require a minimum of six six-month period of validity; this document must be valid at the time of entry and during the period you wish to be in Mexico.
A properly completed Multiple Migratory Form (FMM); this form will be provided to you by the airline or at the port of entry.
Additionally, migratory authorities at the port of entry may request documents proving the purpose of your trip, depending on the activity you will undertake in Mexico: For YMUN Latin America, a letter of invitation may be provided upon request. Please reach out to international.delegations@ymunlatam.org well in advance for more information.
