Our Secretariat Welcomes you to YMUN Latin America I!

Dear delegates, advisors, parents, and future diplomats,

I am delighted to invite you to the inaugural Yale Model United Nations Latin America, taking place from August 16th to August 18th 2024, in São Paulo, Brazil. I am honored to serve as Secretary-General for this conference to expand on Yale MUN’s mission towards increasing global literacy. As a Paulistana myself, I am excited to bring YMUN to my hometown and share this experience with new delegates. YMUN Latam is dedicated to values of education, excellence, and teamwork. I can assure you that our Secretariat is working hard to make this conference the best it can be.

YMUN Latam promises to be an unforgettable and unique experience for delegates and advisors. At YMUN Latam, hundreds of high school students will tackle pressing global issues and expose themselves to diverse perspectives. During the three days of committee, our main goal is to challenge you to think critically and engage with fellow delegates. As global representatives, you'll dive into historical conflicts, explore humanitarian crises, and work together to find common ground on worldwide debates. You'll draft and pass numerous resolutions addressing a range of global challenges, all while developing your leadership and teamwork skills that are vital for future leaders.
